Hello again fellow WOW players !!!
I gave myself a big break from WOW and from my blog and I hope that you've missed me ( I know you didn't). So I want to check you opinion about WOW in general. You all read the articles about the 3 million subscriber drop.
I personally won't unsubscribe for the moment, but some of my friends did..anyways let's go straight to the point...
Do you play WOW atm and if you don't why you unsubscribed ?
Share the things that bother you and I'll gather them in a post/video maybe that's how some of the people in blizzard will notice you worries and problems.
Tell me what you think in the comments below and don't forget to vote in the poll on the left :)
Friends. I've been playing for a few years now. I've been through the expansions, the down time, cataclysm and I've done it with the same people. The people I've met are a reason I stay. They are a big part of "My Gaming Life", though not the only reason I stay. They are the main reason. My own opinion of why people unsubscribe is because they do not have that, that second M in MMO. Warcraft can be quite boring when you play it alone.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%. Most of the social element from the game is gone...
DeleteI played from vanilla until after Cataclysm. Took a break then came back for Warlords hoping it would be awesome. It ended up being World of Garrisons with no new races and tired content. My friends felt the same and since they weren't playing there was no reason to stay.
ReplyDeleteI will give it a chance for like 2-3 months and if nothing changes..
DeleteI am playing up till the end of the month until my time expires do to the fact that all there is to do is sit in your garrison... there is only a hand full of dailies (maybe 10) and 3 reputations to grind, and not a single one of those reps jas a daily its farm your face off by killing stuff that gives you 5-10 rep each kill... NO thanks blizz. To top it off they have killed this game for the true wow players hardly any social aspect anymore and were is the challenge??? You have officially killed pvp as well with Asharan.
ReplyDeleteAshran is a very, very big fail.... sorry to hear the you won't continue playing
DeleteI unsubbed. I love the game. Just get bored. The adventure element has been lost. If you miss a day of cds or dailies your automatically behind. As stated above the social aspect is gone. No one wants to do stuff with guildees when you can queue for lfr or lfg. Content feels recycled. Garrisons were awesome at first, but then it just started feeling like work, herb this, mine that.
ReplyDeleteI really can't find a working/raiding guild these days....as you said people prefer lfr..
DeleteI have played since Vanilla, well before that actually, I played original Beta. Vanilla, TBC and some of Wrath was awesome for both PvE and PvP but already in Wrath PvE became boring and the content a lot easier which allowed casuals to see all the content - fair enough but hardcore players lossed a lot of what they played for and kills came a lot quicker than they did in their previous expansions (even today Mythic kills happen within the first week of release in comparisons to perhaps a month down the line like in old content).
ReplyDeleteIt was around Wrath where I went full PvP and began ignoring PvE content. PvP at least remained challenging and we could hardcore it.
Then came Cata and RBGs and suddenly the game was 100% fun for me at this stage (despite there been clear balance issues with PvP) it was here I went back to PvE with a full PvP guild, we cleared heroic content and got a server first whilst in full PvP gear which admittedly pissed off PvE guilds that were pushing for server firsts. But that proved to me that PvE would never be the challenge it used to be.
In MoP I quit completely, PvP was broken and PvE was not challenging so why play?
Now we're at Warlords and I came back for this expansion, reformed my old guild and looked at both PvP and PvE. Same story, even Mythic is being pugged now. Normal raids are joke, they merged EU with Russia which means hacking and botting constantly.
Blizzard struggle to balance their game and they cannot bring a challenge like they once did.
My sub will be ending on 3rd June when my subscription ends. I can't continue to play a broken game.
People get annoyed at me when I say there's no challenge but this is coming from a multi-glad and someone whose lead their guild through RBGs and through heroic/mythic content with people mostly in PvP gear.
Sorry for long post. That's my views on this.
Hey :) thanks for sharing with us your opinion ! I think that most people will agree with you :)
DeleteAnd I also think that "I can't continue to play a broken game." has to be the name of the next patch..
Okay, I've been playing wow since start vanilla. The game changes at it is supposed to do, else it would not have survived this long. It has been a major fail to bring "life" into WoW by adding the garrisons. But they added it so they have to run with it for the remaining of this expansion. Having said this and watching all the other replies, then i got to say WoW is not broken, its just become casual. Having run for 10 years you have to make younger generations feel interested in a 10 year old game. This was blizzards way of doing so, which is also why all the "LOOKING FOR" has been made..
ReplyDeleteWorld of Warcraft is a MULTI player experience, and if you return to WoW and want old gameplay and start new with no friends from former experience, then the game becomes dull fast, when sitting in your garrison, pugging everything.
Finally i want to say, I enjoy the game, mostly because of friends.. I started playing when i was 13 and i am 23 now.. I work all day long and makes it impossible for me to come home and play the game on a "Hard" level if it has to be vanilla difficulity. And to add about the 3 million subscriber fall can also have something to do with the token.. By adding one and canceling your sub, then your account is said to "canceled" even tho you can pay 30-35k every month ingame to keep playing.
Peace ^^
Thank you for the opinion Jacob :)
DeleteI've never considered that if you pay with gold, Blizz can count your account as canceled
